Im a hispanic person but I dont speak spanish and I juss finished my last day of community college today and im living in a prodomently white upper class town in the suburbs of chicago. I go into buy some 40 ounces for 5 friends who werent able to buy them and I goto buy and not the clerk but his co worker is like some older white man and he always has kinda looked at me when ive gone in their now mind U i was wearing a cheesy grey hoodie but underneath i was wearing a nice collered polo shirt and this guy goes why dont u juss buy a 24 pack? mind u hes right but then he goes on to say “what do u wanna do it the gangster way?” and I was like “I guess” and walked out… should I be pissed and call the corporate office and be like wtf??? cause that seemed kinda racist 2 me after I left at the time I didnt realize it! what do u think??

That’s stupid. I would just blow it off. My boyfriend (who’s white) went into a gas station a couple weeks ago to by a case of beer. The clerk said something to the effect of “why should I sell that to you? You’re going to go home and smoke your marijuana anyway.” My boyfriend was shocked. He does not smoke marijuana. He had just gotten off work and was wearing a collared shirt with nice slacks. His badge was still on! We both thought he should complain, but it’s been too long now. Yeah, procrastination. If you really feel strongly about it, you may want to complain. I think some people forget that they are working in customer service.
