I’ve been working at Old Navy for about a year now and I have no complaints! :)
Khakis and a polo would be perfect. They aren’t too picky about what you wear, but if you make yourself look presentable it’ll let them know that you’re serious about the job.
How much they can afford to pay you will depend on where in the country you’re applying. I started at $ 8.25 in AZ. They will ask you how much you’re willing to work for during the 2nd interview, but wait until they mention it. Don’t bring it up. $ 8.50 is somewhat realistic, but I’m not sure that they’ll start you at that. Cross your fingers. :)
Old Navy is usually really selective in regards to who they hire, so in most cases you’ll end up working with a lot of good people. One of Old Navy’s goals is to ensure that the environment is “fun and engaging” for both the customers and the employees and at most of the branches I’ve been to it is. But again, it depends on the specific store where you’re applying. :)
Good luck with everything and if you have any more questions feel free to email me.
